4 bed Langdon Park Road, Highgate
Bordering Regent’s Park, Camden Town in northwest London is best known for its market and perhaps more recently the late great Amy Winehouse.
It became an important location during the early development of the railways and is located on the London canal network. In 1816, the Regent's Canal was built through the area creating a lock around which Camden Lock Village was developed. Today it is home to the internationally renowned Camden Market where you are sure to find something for the whole family. Amongst the bustling clothes, crafts and jewellery stands, there are some really unique pubs and bars offering nightly live music and DJs. The Lockside Lounge on the water’s edge is a popular spot, as are the Barfly and Proud Camden music venues on Chalk Farm road on the west side of the district. You can enjoy fresh food from every continent whilst sitting astride a motorbike on the canal’s edge, eating and watching the ducks swim by.
This area is renowned for its alternative culture although there are many period properties to enjoy a traditional style of home, from Georgian and early Victorian townhouses to modern apartments and mews homes on cobbled streets, making this an area full of character which will appeal to everyone. Many townhouses in Camden are over three or even four floors so there’s plenty of space for the whole family to relax.
The beautiful blue front door with original stained glass surround welcomes you into the spacious entrance hall with turquoise floral wallpaper, dark wood flooring and original ceiling cornices.
The hallway leads on to a spacious double reception room with warm coloured furniture including a brown leather sofa, two stylish floral chairs and turquoise shabby chic style box for a coffee table. There's a feature fireplace and an electric piano in the corner. At the far end of this large living space are two more sofas, a tv (with Virgin) dvd player, xbox and (transportable) iPod dock. French windows lead onto the garden.
At the back of the house is the kitchen with modern white fitted cupboards and bright red tiling in the alcove behind the hob and oven. There is a large black fridge/freezer (with water dispenser and ice-maker), microwave, coffee maker, washer/dryer. The wooden dining table has seating for 8. Another set of French windows leads on to the patio garden with a further table and chairs for al fresco drinks and dining.
The first floor has a master bedroom with a super king bed, black bedside tables, large white wardrobe, chest of drawers and a white feature fireplace. The main bathroom has a black and white roll top bath, green modern tiling, a separate shower, toilet and sink.
The second bedroom can be made up as either 2 twin beds or joined as a super king. There's a wall-mounted tv and this room also opens out onto a bright terrace.
The third bedroom has a super king bed, lots of wardrobe space, a chest of drawers and a feature fireplace. It also has an en suite with beige modern tiling, a large shower unit, toilet and basin.
The fourth bedroom is on the top floor with wooden flooring and sash windows. If a young guest is staying, there are toys and books to play with.
The third bathroom has black and white tiling, a shower, toilet and sink.

The village of Highgate is a 10 minute walk away and has lots of interesting bars, restaurants, and boutique shops as well as 2 theatres - Jacksons Lane and the ‘Upstairs at the Gatehouse’ theatre.
